The wedding
The wedding's over and they are now on their honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, just in time for hurricane Paul!
The wedding took place Saturday in Minneapolis. We left Green Bay on Thursday morning. They booked a block of rooms at the Marriott West in Minneapolis for out of town guests. That is where the reception was also. We opted to rent a suite to have more room. It was very nice with a wet bar and mini frig, love seat with an extra chair and nice sitting room. We were all on the same floor which was really nice. We brought along a lot of snacks, beer wine, etc. We went to the mall for a little while (Richdale I think it is called, right by the Marriott. Thursday night we spent hanging out with Andy. Krista was busy with wedding stuff. Andy took us around Minneapolis so we could see the sky scrapers all lit up at night. It is very pretty. We went to rent Charlie's tux and then went back to the hotel and ate dinner Kipz, the Irish pub/restaurant. It was an early night. Andy went home as his best man was arriving from Milwaukee and staying at his house. Friday some of the other family members arrived. We had happy hour at our room. ![]() My nephew and his friend. ![]() Friday night was the church rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at Biaggis in Eden Prarie. We got so lost trying to get there! Biaggis is in a strip mall but there are more strip malls in Minneapolis then I can believe! We were late getting there. Andy even had to call us on the cell phone to see where we were. The 2 girls in the middle were bridesmaids. ![]() Andy, giving the ringbearer his gift. A skateboard. ![]() The ringbearer. ![]() Lizzy and her brother, Aaron. Aaron was a groomsman, He's my oldest son, who is 29. oops, forgot the photo but not it won't let me add it to the edit.) After the dinner, we headed back to the hotel. A lot of other family and friends stayed in our room until we got back and we had a few drinks with them til around midnight. Saturday was the wedding. I got up around 7 a.m. with Lizzy as she was a bridesmaid and all the girls were going to get their hair done and then go to Krista's mom and dads for bagels, do makeup and chill til they had to go to the church to get dressed. The wedding was at 2:00 and we arrived at the church at 12:30 for pictures and a little lunch with just chips and sub sandwiches. Lizzy getting her flowers. (She dyed her hair, if you hadn't noticed. I was not happy about that right before the wedding.) ![]() A picture of Andy at the church when he first saw Krista. He was crying! ![]() Andy and Krista stepping outside to have a smoke before the ceremony. ![]() I think I'll submit this part before I lose it again.

Here's that photo of Lizzy and Aaron at the rehearsal dinner.

I think this is a first for this! ![]() Aaron, nephew, Corey and niece Holly ![]() Krista and her sister, looks a lot like her. ![]() Mom and Son's dance. "The wonder of you" by Elvis. Krista and her dad danced to "I loved her first" by Heartland, a great song! I didn't get a picture! ![]() I guess the reception ended around midnight. We started back up to the room when we saw Andy and Krista at the front desk. He had forgotten his bag in the limo on the way over to the reception. He had his ID and other stuff he needed for their flight to Cabo on Sunday. He was desperately trying to find the limo driver to get it back asap. finally, after about an hour or so, they got his stuff back. We went to our room and there a lot of people up there. I had given my sister a key so they could use the room whenever they wanted. We stayed up only til about 2. We were beat. Got lost on the way home and went about an hour our of our way. took 5 1/2 hours to get home. I have been following the hurricane and I am a little worried for them. It seems to be strengthening. Well, that's my wedding story! Can't believe it is over. |

Nice pictures! The brides dress is beautiful. Im a big fan of green-so the bridesmaids dresses are gorgeous.
Looks like everyone had fun. Thanks for sharing. I don't even know anyone in the pictures and I got teary eyed. Hope they're having fun in Cabo! Nice place to pick for a honeymoon. |
