Mike and I recently returned from a WONDERFUL (and exhausting!) 3 week trip! We went to London, then on to Athens, where we boarded the NCL Jewel for a 12 night cruise that took us to Katakolon Greece, Corfu Greece, Alexandria and Cairo Egypt, Crete, Santorini, and Mykonos Greece, Izmir Turkey and finished up in Istanbul Turkey, where I celebrated my 60th birthday.
To say that this cruise itinerary was outstanding would be an understatement! We enjoyed EVERY PLACE we visited, and had some "interesting" times in Egypt and Turkey due to the fact that we visted these places during Ramadan. We ADORED London ( and already have booked a British Isles, Ireland and Le Havre France cruise for next year. Look at the views out our London balcony suite at the Marriott County Hall hotel: ![]() ![]() ![]() Mike has just done a couple of new slideshows of the beautiful island of Mykonos. If you'd like to take a look at them, go to: http://www.maison-t-bayou.com Watch for NEW slideshows of other islands and cities as Mike gets them down and uploaded to our website. ![]() |

More more more please Joanie.
I want to hear ALL about Greece, especially! Your hotel was right beside the London Eye?!? Cool. I don't remember a hotel being right there, just the Aquarium and that museum. I guess I will have to back too (didn't you just LOVE London? ).I can see HER pictures, Jacko. ![]() |

Those Greece slides were just fantastic. Impressive photos, great eye for the natural and human surroundings, and the colorful palates of Greece. Great job indeed, thanks for sharing such incredible photos.

Isn't it the greatest city? We took our kids this past summer (they were babies when they first visited), so this time they were able to appreciate and fall in love with the city, and now my daughter hopes to one day move over there to study ![]() |

Mike has JUST uploaded a NEW slideshow of the MAGNIFICENTLY SCENIC island of Santorini. This new slideshow does not yet have a LINK on our website, but you can see it by going to:
SANTORINI Mike should have the link loaded into our standard "View Our Slideshows Here" menus shortly. |

I have to say that I have become VERY fond of cruising ~ ESPECIALLY with this type of trip. Basically, you have your hotel travelling along with you from place to place, so you don't have to keep unpacking and packing AND you have a "familiar" place to return to each night. This was particularly wonderful after our 12+ expedition to Cairo ~ a TOTALLY different world! Photos and film footage don't really prepare you for the reality of that city. |
