Anyone Been To Barcelo Maya Colonial???

Has anyone been to the Colonial Beach? Heard numerous positives and negatives.. I have to make up my mind by the weekend.Can you snorkle off the property? We will be traveling with our two boys 17-14 Please any info would be appreciated. This is killing me Thanks Kim in Canada!!!

I've been there and yes you can snorkel from their beach - they have their own pier. It's a great resort.

If you do an advanced search (located on the toolbar above), there is plenty of information about this hotel in this section of the board. You can also check the Unofficial Barcelo Maya web site HERE

I don't know of one, did you Google it? Secrets is run by AM Resorts, and they also run the Sunscape and Dreams properties. They DO have a Sunscape board but I don't see one for Secrets - or Dreams for that matter.

Book the Barcelo Colonial with confidence. Great snorkeling right off the beach. We've been to the Barcelo the past two years and would not have changed a thing. Our trip in December is to a Non-AI, but that is because we wanted to explore more of the food and drink available in Playa. Enjoy!

We will be there for the first time in December with our kids..... I am looking forward to it....Don't worry....Sun, Beach, Booze....It will be fine...
