Encounters with the spirit world
Figured that being so close to Halloween, that this would be a good time to tell you about something that happened to me.
Three years ago at the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, TimHorton and I went to Niagara on the Lake for a spontaneous weekend getaway. http://www.niagaraonthelake.com/ It is a beautiful small town with some great little B&B's and some lovely hotels (  and great shopping at some cute little stores.) We wanted to stay at the Prince of Wales Hotel http://www.vintage-hotels.com/niagar...e-of-wales.php but because we did this trip last minute we were not able to stay there. But we did go to the restaurant there for a wonderful lunch. Now this was before we had our digital camera so we were taking pictures with our regular camera. After coming home we had the pictures developed and all the pictures that we had taken turned out great except for one. It was the picture of me standing in front of the hotel. In the picture you can see the background of the hotel with the name on the hotel, you can see my body but my face is completely obliterated  I figure some spirit from the hotel was not happy with me, so I do not have a souvenir picture of my short time there. TimHorton thinks I'm crazy  but I truly believe that is what happened.If our @#$% scanner  was working I would post the picture here.What do you think

I lived in a condo that was supposedly 'haunted.'
Supposedly a gypsy woman that lived on the property put a 'hex' on it because developers forced her to sell her land. She died before she moved, and it was said that she wandered the condos... I don't know if there was a ghost or not...but there were some strange things that happened there. We most often heard someone running fast up the 13 stairs to our door. Not just once or twice...this happened about 3 or 4 times a week. I would open the door, and no one was there. Sometimes we would hear knocks on the door, open it and no one was there. The dog would bark when this happened...so she heard it too.  Everyone in the complex experienced something like that or similar. Who knows if it was a ghost or someone playing a ghost...This happened in No. Hollywood.

I live in a house built in 1818. God knows what's taken place in this house and on the grounds during the past almost 200 years. If I dwell on it (when I'm alone here), I can make myself break out in a cold sweat.
I haven't experienced anything "odd" around here. Nor do I want to. Just the idea of it scares the crap outta me, cuz I do believe 100% that the phenomena exists. I just hope it doesn't exist here. |
