Winter is here, LAME!!!

Had no snow on the ground Thursday, started snowing Friday morning, finally quit Saturday night. 53cm, or 1.76ft of snow is the highest measurement in the area, at home I had at least a foot by lunch on Saturday, and at least 1.5ft by the evening. Power is out everywhere in many towns, luckily we have ours back. Some won't for 3-7 days.
Temp is -14c, I would really like to get on a plane right now.

What do you mean, winter is lame?

You're a couple hours away from Whistler and Blackcomb!

Grouse Mountain also has some fine terrain.

ICK -- EEE -- POO!

We're getting a reprieve here -- 50's and 60's the next few days. I'll be running around, caulking the windows shut and squirting foam insulation along our stone foundation while I still can.

I am praying for a mild winter like last year's.

where in BC are you???

It did get colder down here as well...-1 celsius this morning. Pretty weird since two days ago it was 15 degrees!

Sposed to be a dry winter here this year. Probably no snow for yet another winter. No biggie, we can make the 40 minute drive up Seymour or Grouse mountain for some fun in the snow.

Lucky for you! I'd be happy to get some snow...perhaps it could start tomorrow night after we're done trick or treating. Gotta love winter!

I agree! I cant wait to fire up my Arctic Cat and tear around in the snow...I get a little bored with it about the 3rd week in Feb so we head off to Playa for a week.

I just hope the chill holds out until after trick-or-treating tomorrow...nice in Chicago today though, about 60 for a high. We had our Halloween block party yesterday and it was a fabulous fall day for it. Can't imagine having the snow you are having there though! not yet!

Hasnt actually been snowing so much where I live (I live in the southern part of Iceland) but in the north it has been snowing for about a month
the temp this october has been from -10°C (sometimes colder in the north) up to about 3°C but usually stays at about 0°C... Windy and too dark all the time..
I wanna get on a plane too

Okay, if you want me to! No sweaters, no socks, no coats, no heating bills... shorts, tanks, swimsuits during the day, skirts/capris/jeans at night with maybe a sleeved shirt. How's that?
