Best resort?

Which is the best resort at Playa del Carmen or at Playacar? Say you wanted to go stay there and money was no issue, where would you stay at?

But getting Ruthie there is another thing ENTIRELY.

Well...maybe not entirely, but lasting peace in Kirkuk has better viablility. What's the line from "Dumb and Dumber"?

RH is the place to go though - it is the resort by which all other resorts in the RM are measured.

Brent and I have never been there, but if money were no object or we won a free trip to any resort in playa it would be the royal hideaway!!!

Royal Hideaway ABSOLUTELY!!!

We stayed there in 2000 when the resort was only 6 months old... The price was not thru the ceiling and we even got a $200pp spa credit!...

Now it's either the Royal Hideaway and one vacation a year or a less expensive resort and 2 or 3 vacations a year... I like to think we've chosen wisely... After all, we'll always have Paris... Oops, how'd that movie line slip in?...

I think I would go with Secrets Capri Resort unless the beach is better at the Royal Hideaway.

It is!

But Secrets is a great place too - just not quiteeeeeeeeeee at the same level of - everythinng - as the Royal Hideaway. The RH just won the 5 Diamond Award from AAA and that is a HUGE honor!!!

Yes, Secrets Capri IS nice, and it's beach is definitely NOT as bad as some drama lovin' posts would suggest...But RH was my first choice hands-down. Couldn't get my other half to agree, he thought it would be too "stuffy" my loss

Royal Hideaway. No contest.
Althououououough - if someone wanted to send me to Secrets Capri so I could do a comparison, for research purposes of course, I suppose I could force myself.

Anyone?

Now Shammy, everyone knows a GOOD researcher gets someone else to pay for the "data collection" (I'm married to a statistician, can you tell?).
