Thanks again Cewles. Lisa and I (I'm Chris by the way)are definitely of the same mindset as you regarding AI's. Pay the bulk of your money at home in C$'s and you never have to worry about what the day to day things are gonna cost. Budgeting is so easy and you don't have to sweat about what this restaurant is gonna cost and "can we afford to do this?". We have stayed at two AI's, the Royal Decameron in P.V. and the Sol de Plata in Punta Cana D.R. and enjoyed ourselves immensely both times. We have also had a wonderful non A.I. vacation in Kona Hawaii, and though it was one of the best vacations I have ever experienced - it hurt in the pocket book when we got back! (and the C$ is worse now).
Any particular "can't miss" excursions we should plan in advance on Playa? I have heard that Xcaret is great and of course there are Mayan ruins eveywhere. Did you golf on any of your trips there? How about deep sea fishing?
Cheers, Chris
