Hello Playa friends! I am not positive that this is where this gets posted, but I think so. I am a MN teacher, yes originally AK grown... anywho I spent a month in playa this summer and loved it. I have been searching for a teaching job next year in playa. It has been a little bit of a challenge, but I thought that this site might be a help for those silly little questions an those non silly questions. Lookin forward to learnin more about you playa lovers! AK5

Welcome fellow Minnesotan! Where do you reside? Careful there's a bunch of us snowball types who escape the cold in playa and on this site! Have fun!

Didn't teach in playa... went to school actually. I went to playlingua. I am hoping to make a move to playa for a teaching job.

Welcome to the group.
I am curious about Playalingua, how did you make out there? Have you had previous lessons in Spanish? I would like to hear more about it from anyone who has gone to their classes.

Hello!! We're from Minnesota too. Up north though, near Lake Superior. It's going to be unseasonally warm these next few days. Darn! I wanted it to snow before we left!

The school had it's positives and negatives. It is about the fifth school that I have gone to for studying spanish, costa rica, guatemala, ecuador.... I think there is not a huge market in playa for schools, thus the negatives in my opinion. I think it also matters what you are looking for in a school, where your level is. I am fairly advanced and so I was expecting and needing alot. I have heard that it is one of the best in PDC. More preguntas just ask!!!
