Help...short term rental in Playa

Hi All,
I´ve been looking for a 60 day rental (starting now) in Playa and haven´t found anywhere yet.
I´d like a 1 bedroom or studio with TV and internet access.
Budget is $1200-$1600 for the 60 day period.
I´m currently staying at La Rana Cansada and can usually be found in the bar most nights.
Please PM me or call by. If I´m there I´ll buy you a beer if not please leave a message.

Sorry, but you'd be lucky to get a 6 month minimum contract, unfurnished rental with your budget, much less so for only two months, and no TV or telephone line.

You'll could try the back street flop houses and negotiate a deal.

One vague possibility, pushing forth from the dark recesses of my mind, is a place on 10th - I think it's opposite Plaza Pelicanos. You enter a doorway/alleyway and the rooms are at the back and above the shops. They'll be a chap in a small room on the ground floor.

I thought I read on a thread quite a while ago that Mom's Hotel was a very inexpensive place to stay long term when rates are negotiated.

Just found a place that quoted $800 for 2 months. A small hotel on 20th. It seems too good to be true but I think I'll check in tomorrow and see what happens.
No A/C, 'phone or TV but at that price who cares.

Yes. The previously quoted price was VERY incorrect.

BUT I have found a room right on 5th opposite La Parilla for $700 per month.
Now I can relax.

Windows, electricity, a/c, hot water, TV and cleaned every day.
1 double bed and 1 single bed.
And it's right on 5th.
Looks like my persistance and patience paid off.

Why didn't you mention the Hostel on Avenue 10(?). He should be able to get a space there during high season with that budget
