Why does that not surprise me???? I use to collect menus as well. My favorite one was from the restaurant at the Biltmore in Az. It was brass. Couldn't sneak it in my purse my date bought it for me.

I collect empty beer bottles. Too bad I have to drink 'm first! Every time I've got 24 of them I trade them for 24 new ones. Unfortunately they're filled with beer again, so I'll have to start all over....

But seriously.... ..
I used to collect beerlabels. I have maybe 1000 of them from all over the world. Even special labels for the US army and labels from Poland, Russia and East-Germany. I don't even know where they are now, I believe somewhere on my attic. Somebody interested?

Pins.....yeah, like that's a big surprize. The gems of my collection are Hard Rock Cafe pins. I have just under 1,100 in my collection and that goes up by a few every week, with generous help from kind folks who shop for me all over the world - including quite a number who frequent this forum.

Hey Beer Dude...I've got about 300 Hard Rock traders in my pinventory at any given time. I don't collect the guitars myself, but I've got plenty of spares. Let me know what you're after, and maybe I can help.

My son-in-law has been collecting beer labels, too. Don't know where his collection in at the moment, as he keeps moving, but perhaps I should put you in touch?

Nothing, really....I guess I collect books, lipsticks and shoes and boots, judging by what I have the most of....and my hubby collects fishhooks and hunting gear and Big Buck magazines.

One thing we do try and do is buy some piece of area artwork or other decor item from everywhere we go. We have some masks and a painting from Mexico, and some shell balls in one of our bathrooms...I bought some framed black and white photo of the NYC skyline....and in London I bought a drawing of St. Paul's Cathedral.

Yes, we try to do that too although I can't always afford something expensive like actual art so I will instead buy a large scenery photo or postcard and then mount it in a frame.

If he still collects them, maybe I can send some to him.

Oh that is so cool! I have a ton of shells too, but they are from multiple places. Every time I am at an art fair I am always looking for the perfect little bowl or dish to display them in (in the bathroom). Maybe I will find one in Playa next week

i hate clutter, so i try not to collect anything... but when i started thinking about it, i realized i collect tattoos... great reminders of times of my life and they don't take up any space in the house (unless i start eating too much)
