There is a good one on Calle 32 between 5th and 10th avenue. I think it is like 12 pesos per kilo (does that sound right?). I don't know, it's not that much.

We used the one across from Luna Blue last month, and they were great and very thrifty

The name is V I P lavenderia (sp?). I use them when I am in Playa. They do a good job and are very friendly. And they speak as much English as I speak Spanish (which ain't much). Still, somehow, we communicate what I want done.

We used a lavendaria on 10th Ave between Calle 28 and 30 for the last two years. Young woman who does a great job,big load with towels about 5$ U.S. In by 9 or 10 am,done by 5 pm or so.It was really handy when we had the teenagers there with us last year.

The staff there is wonderful. When I used them for the 6 months I lived nearby, they would see me coming up the street and already have my name and info filled out on the ticket. I actually miss them, but I'm now about 6 blocks away and it's easier to carry the laundry to a closer lavanderia.

Mrs Piernas use them too. We use at least twice during our stays. We always make sure we drop off a final load just prior to leaving. Our clothes are folded and wrapped in plastic. Its nice being able to store fresh and clean holiday clothes on our return.
Adios

There is one next to Riviera Caribe Maya at around 26th and 10th. We used them when we were there last February. Relatively inexpensive.
