Hugo Sanchez to coach Mexican national soccer team
The Pentapichichi takes over.
This may not be a big deal on this forum. And maybe not even in Playa del Carmen or Quintana Roo, where baseball is pretty popular. But in the rest of Mexico, this is a big deal and I have to imagine that a lot of Playa del Carmen residents have an opinion on this. If you want to strike up a conversation with a Playense, chances are, many of them could talk for hours about this..... Hugo Sanchez, former Real Madrid player (the club where David Beckham plays now) has been named head coach of Mexico's national soccer team. He is a bit infamous for having strongly criticized the former coach before the World Cup. He also has an US connection. He played briefly in Dallas and in San Diego. |
