Sony PlayStation 3 is out in the US. Has anybody of you tried it?

We in Europe has to wait for it until March 2007.

My co-worker went to line up at 5:30 AM to buy one this morning...not for himself, to sell to some other sucker with more money than brains

...but there were more than 7 people waiting already, with sleeping bags in below zero temps, so he left (the store only got 7 units, they were told.)

I just read in the paper that they are selling for $2,000 on Ebay. I have a firewall at the office so I can't check. Can anyone confirm this?

Thor - It was one of the leading stories for our local news in Indianapolis. People set up tents on Wed to save their place in line. Some people even admitted they were only buying the PS3 to resell for big $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

mine does... thank goodness he doesn't care about this thing... he has 3 gaming stations from the past... none of which I bought for him... just kind of flukey that was... i guess our gaming station days are over... now about that computer....

My guys are in their early 20's and still way into it(do they ever grow up?).
Since they are both working, if they want it bad enough they can buy it themselves. I stopped with Playstation2. They never really got into gaming on the computer.

Just read about a near riot at one of the downtown Boston malls where people who had been waiting for 3 days through miserably stormy weather decided to rush the Sony store 1/2-hour before the opening time. OMG, don't these people have lives and jobs?
