Got My New Camera Gear!
Hooyah! Got my birthday present a week early! In past years, I did a lot of SLR photography with my film Canon A1. Then I switched to the point and shoot digital Canon G1. While this is a great little camera, I have longed for a new digital SLR. Inspired by Ginger's wonderful work, I finally got:
The Canon 30D EF 24-105mm F4L IS USM Telephoto for my general use lense EF 70-200mm F4L USM Telephoto An EF1.4X II extender to make the big telephoto even bigger Now I have a LOT of learning to do! Its going to be a lot of fun! Now...what to do with the wonderful, though dated film A1? |

It will be hard for you to top the photos you've been taking with your SLR but I think you will really love the flexibility that digital is going to give you...really looking forward to your new pics. Perhaps a trip to Playa to try it out??????

Don't rush into it, Jacko. I think it's best if you leave the new camera in the box for 22 months before you learn to use it.
Okay.... you can put the camera strap on it, but then you should immediately put it away again. It's too scaaaaaary...... P.S. So happy for you!! Have fun!! |
