PDC for the first time!
Hi,
I'm going to be visiting PDC for the first time with a couple of friends in the spring. We're all in our mid 20s and are curious about the ideal all-inclusive for us. I imagine the nightlife is best in the actual city of PDC, but we would like to stay in an all inclusive. Are they all pretty close to the city, or do some have better locations than others? I've heard good things about Gala, and we all want to stay at a place with an amazing beach. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Zach |

While the Gala is wonderful (going for the second time in May), it is known as a family resort. It is not overrun with kids or anything, but its night life is probably not the hopping place you are looking for. It has the best beach in Playacar but is also the last resort on the strip...thus is probably not as close as you would like to town. But I can still recommend it because it is great and the prices are reasonable! Feel free to ask questions...Lisa

Zach,
I have heard that the Reef Club has a terrific beach and it is the closest to town. It is also inexpensive for an AI, albeit it's not "one of the best". However, if you are looking to spend a lot of time in town, maybe you wouldn't want to pay a premium for deluxe food and it's proximity (easy walking distance) to 5th Avenue might make the compromise right on. Let me say that I've never seen this resort; I've just made reservations after doing a bit of reasearch and having been to PDC several times. James A. |
