Fat Cat booking

We want to book the Fat Cat for Jan. 15th.....we are hoping to get most of our wedding guest to come aboard with us....but it is hard to get them all to fork out more cash before they even get there. None of them have been to Playa, and are probably feeling a little reserved as to what they want to do. Of course once they are on the Fat Cat....they will thank us for pushing them. question is, how far in advance does one usually book? Should we push them to book on line ahead of time......?
They get to Playa on Jan. 13th. Is that too close for booking if they want to wait?

41 more sleeps....48 until wedding day

All I can say is that the Fat Cat is a VERY popular excursion and I can only recommend that if this is something you (they) REALLY want to do, you best book before you get there. Depending on availability after you arrive is questionable enough, but when you're looking to bring a group of people (and I do not know how many people you're speaking of...) - I would book ASAP! Just can't imagine why you (they) want to/need to wait?

I could be wrong but I think we paid FatCat a deposit & the rest on the day of the excursion....

It is a great time...

Edit: Just looked 30%deposit required...the rest on the day of excursion...At $85 thats about a $25deposit...Maybe they will go for that?

Thanks, that is a great idea. I guessed I skimmed over the deposit part when I read it. That might make it more appealing and do-able for everyone.

Here's the Fat Cat's cancellation policy. If your wedding guests make reservations in parties of 9 or less, it looks like they'll have the option of cancelling and getting a full refund up til 4 PM the day before the trip. Looks like a "can't lose" situation to me (unless you all wait too long to make reservations and the boat is full on the day you want).

Cancellations made before 4pm of day prior to departure will be credited with a FULL REFUND of deposit. For parties of 10 or more, 5 full days' notice is required for cancellation. No refund after this time without medical certification.
