Oh, Kaki.... Thanks SO much for posting the pic of the boys with their beads!! I'm so silly.... I get such a kick out of seeing peeps with their beads!
But the pic of your two adorable kids with their beads is definitely in my top ten now!!Sorry to hear that you'll be walking into chaos at work tomorrow! Geesh.... like it's not hard enough coming back to reality when things at the office are "normal"!![]() |

. I just wanted to start the report by taking a little pressure off myself - - there are so many great trip reports out there lately. But Playa is Playa, and hopefully the pics will speak for themselves! ![]() |

So where was I?
Dinner at Carboncitos then the Peep Meet, right? Well, of course I have to mention a few things I forgot first. Before we went over to Posada Freud, I stopped for Pizza at Mia Pizza which is right outside the entrance to ****** on Calle 12 (across from OM bar). Let me tell you, this was the BEST pizza I have ever had outside of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Chicago! I know everyone loves Pizza Pazza, and I had my share of that on this trip too, but Mia Pizza was better IMHO. It was cheesy and flaky without being too greasy. Yum!! <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Also, while A’ndrea and I were at Posada Freud I *think* Louise (Coccinelle) and Brian came by…I also *think* we met Diogeron too, as she came up and recognized Miles’ Nerak beads. I *think* this all happened Saturday, but it could have been Sunday. I also *think* this is the day that we first met up with Paul , a wonderfully sweet guy (and forum member!) who is temporarily living in Playa while waiting for some paperwork to clear so he can get on with his new life and new wife (when that happens!). Hola Paul!! Dinner at Carboncitos was phenomenal! The boys sat and played with Senor Potato head (there was a carrot and corn head too, pretty funny) while we ate. I can’t remember what Angela and Miles had, but I know I had the shrimp dish with the bacon, onions, pepper and cheese. It was heaven in a tortilla. We also had the queso fundido and the famous salsa tray. I do highly recommend this place. And with the Playa Deal Card discount, it was really, really economical too. Here are the boys at Carboncitos. ![]() Before heading over to the Peep Meet, I needed more peso’s, so my niece Angela and I stopped at Banamex. Here we are in front of the Taco VW bus by the Banamex bank. (self-portrait, extreme close-up) ![]() Now it’s time for the Peep Meet. Probably the best pics and “reports” from the meet can be found on the thread over on the peep meet forum (“peep meet at the beer bucket November 25th), so I won’t go into detail here. I will say that we had a nice time, but we did pack it in early (11:00 ish - - I know, I know, lightweight Kaki and Miles, but honestly - - my ankle was the size of a grapefruit Some memorable moments from that night include chatting with Papa T/Tony (Tony and Miles both got their graduate degrees from University of Detroit and talked quite a bit about that), dancing with Cheri and Louise to Wild Cherry (Play that Funky Music White Boy!), convincing Cheri that Miles was not Cowboy Troy , sitting and watching Donna make silly name tags, and listening to Miles and Ron chat it up about Advertising . You might not know this, but Ron (Bucket owner) is a former Ad Guy…interesting, huh? It was great hangin' with tommy too, and Heather's Bf is so sweet. Honestly, we met SO many people that night, and given how bad my memory is, I hestitate to go into much more detail as I KNOW I will forget someone - hell, I will forget almost everyone I am sure . But, safe to say, that when we left the party was in FULL swing . Oh sure, A’ndrea gave me some shit about leaving early (love you girl!!), but I am hoping I made it up to her the next day and night with all of the laughs we had ("boom, boom, boom" vacation pickle, lap dancing, etc…, etc…). So, tonight I will leave you with these few duplicate pics, with a promise that Day 3 installment will come tomorrow!! |

Great report so far..
You're boys look like twins, bet you get that a lot. Kinda freaky how alike they look, given the different mom thing, eh? A'ndrea is looking beautiful as usual....hey A', that colour bathing suit looks spectacular on you! ![]() |
