Ok guys, I am back…been a crazy short week so far, but I wanted to try to continue the report. Thanks for all of the nice comments!
Yeah, the boys can be cute, but not so much tonight …Miles is at his company Christmas party (wearing a TUX by the way, and NO, it’s not black tie…but that’s Miles for ya ), and they were kinda wild with me earlier, UGH, I am drained….<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Anyway… Day 3 in Paradise…Woke up around 7 am and feeling good, and for the 10th time since we got to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Mexico, Jackson woke up saying “mommy, I want to go to Mey-ki-ko (mexico)”. Again, we had to explain to him that we WERE in Mexico…this went on pretty much all week. So today, we wanted to head north to Mamitas. We ate at the Villa then started walking up 5th around 8:30 am to head over to Luna Blue first to see Tony and Cheri again. Couldn’t get enough of them the night before at the Peep Meet, and we had promised to come by and take a look at the hotel as an option for our next “mommy and daddy only” trip. The shops were just opening up, and the streets were kinda quiet, but that didn’t stop the vendors from asking me and my niece if we wanted our hair braided. Finally, I said “Sure! You can braid our hair for the next hour if you find someone to watch these two boys!”. We actually had a taker, but decided to keep walking. Unfortunately, we missed Tony and Cheri (they were on a walk on the beach), but saw Brian (of Louise (coccinelle) and Brian) out front patiently waiting for Louise. Walked down to Mamitas, and let me tell you something…that long road down to the Mamitas beach is a bitch with a double stroller! (just ask Miles! He was pushing it) (by the way…Miles joined the forum as miles321 but hasn’t posted yet, he says he will post soon) The beach was not crowded at all when we got there, and we got a prime umbrella in the front row. Here are some pics from Mamitas. I don’t think I have the pics here (maybe it was another day), but Grant was SO funny with the waves…he kept yelling at them and taunting them screaming “comon’ and get me you bad wave you…oh yeah? Is that the best you got??” We ran into Louise (coccinelle) and Brian at Mamitas, as well as Barry (popeye) and Phyllis too. It was great seeing them again and talking with them! We left Mamitas around lunch to meet A’ndrea at Playa Maya for lunch. I had the famous coconut shrimp and one of their awesome margaritas. Very, very good!! Used the Playa Deal card too. Ugh, I hate this pic of me, but here it is anyway![]() After lunch, A’ndrea and I went to…guess where…I bet you NEVER can guess where we went… POSADA FREUD! This was also the day that we drank the last drops of Don Julio Resposado and headed over the the Tequila Barrel for more shots. We met up with Cheyanne there (a girl that A’ met on her flight down) and decided to head back to the Villas Sacbe to hang on the rooftop. Miles and the boys were napping and I almost talked A’ndrea into climbing into bed with him, It was about this time that I panicked and realized that Miles and I never paid our tab at the Beer Bucket the night before! Sure, we only had two beers each, but still! I felt so bad…so we left the boys with Angela and said we needed to run out for a bit. It was Sunday so the Bears game was on…here are Miles and Ron watching the game. (p.s., apparently everyone forgets to pay their Beer Bucket tab at one time or another, it’s a Playa rite of passage) While sitting at the bar (after it took me 30 minutes to climb up on that fricken high bar stool...wtf with those bar stools???), Miles had a craving for something different, so he ordered a Pina Colada…it was so funny, cuz after Miles got his drink, Ron looks over at him and says “Miles, how’s that Pina Colada?”…Miles says “good!” and after an awkward silence, Ron says “WOOS!”. Miles then went on to explain to Ron that his Pina Colada probably had more alcohol in it than the beer Ron was drinking, and that was pretty much the end of the debate. We all got a good laugh out of it though Ok, I need to end for now as I gotta get the last kid to bed. I will come back later and finish the night out (Posada Freud then the Bucket again! A’, tommy, Donna, our new Canadian friends, etc…Some pics too – here is a preview) |

. Kidding. I will do more posting and less lurking over there, promise. Peepfest is looking REAL good for Miles and I! He was supposed to come to Puerto Rico with me in a few weeks (I am going for work, he was going to tag along), but instead I think we are going to do Playa for a few days in February. We have to use my sister/babysitting services wisely (she drives in 5 hours from Detroit and brings her whole family), and I just didn't want our time alone to have anything to do with work (puerto rico would have been tough for us to totally relax as my meeting schedule there is pretty full during the days). So, it looks like a go! Just need to ask my sister for the millionth time to commit, convince Miles one last time (I think he already said yes), and book the flights and hotel!! Wow, that was a detailed response, LOL!Last edited by kaki321 : 12-05-2006 at 10:42 PM. |

It was funny because as we got closer to the bucket, Elsa (from behind the bar) recognized us and started walking toward us down calle 10 saying "MR. MILES! You forget to pay tab for me!" We tipped her large ![]() |
