Can we bring bottles of booze into Mexico???

Does anyone know if we can bring bottles of booze into Mexico through our checked luggage????? My husband and his friend have created a coffee liquor and is on the shelves in Kansas. We wanted to bring a few bottles to introduce it to the locals and to our hosts at the Luna Blue.
Here's the website to their liquor link:
Any insight would be helpful. Thanks everyone and we are counting the days.

The US Dept of State says: Mexican regulations limit the value of goods brought into Mexico by U.S. citizens arriving by air or sea to $300 U.S. per person and by land to $50 U.S. per person. Other travel-related items may also be brought in duty-free. Amounts exceeding the duty-free limit are subject to a 32.8 percent tax.

So yes you can bring it in, but it might be subject to payment of duty. If you can keep it to smallish amounts, you'll have better luck.
