Yes

two years ago I stayed in room 201 and it was great. Great view too but I see by your pictures that the road to Mamitas has really been built up. They were just beginning while I was there. thought the staff at the hotel were terricfic. BUT, the water in the pool was like ice. Travelling alone I haven't. eaten at any of the restaurants mentioned in yours and other great reviews but this time I am going to try some of them. Your pictures give me a real incentive to get out this year and see what it is alabout. Great report, great pictures. Thanks for sharing. Don

This report is great Jim!
Perry was down last week, in Tulum he was eating at a restaurant and the lady there told him you HAVE to go try this new place that just opened yesterday!! So, Perry wanders over to this new little place and who is it?
Claudia from the old Celti that we loved on our 2004 map.
She closed the old restaurant and went to work down in Sian Kaan at another restaurant.
So, she is back in Tulum. I don't know the name of her new restaurant yet, becasue Perry was telling me this fast from his cell phone

"Tacos from the food carts by the bus station. 9am ADO bus to Tulum (town). We wandered around checking out the town and looking for Celti restaurant that is listed on the Map Chick Map as A MUST. Found it but it is now something else. We ate lunch at La Palapa del Chino, the food was good, but not great."

I hope you let us know the name and location of Claudia's new place before I go. Hopefully I will have your new map by then.

The best pizza i have ever had in Rome was in a little mom and pop place close to the vatican called" pizza de popa" found it by accident while looking for a drug store. the people were coming and out of there like they were giving something away. there are no tables just a long bar on the wall to stand and eat. they sell the pizza by the killo. I made pizza at my inlaws resturant in Little italy in cleveland for over 20 years and have never had or could make any thing that came close to this pizza. the father and uncle make the pizza the dauther takes the money.

If 9 nights equals Margaritas in 38 bars

Our next trip is for 13 nights. So, 13 nights equals how many Margarita Bars.
