Booking day trips at RPR

I assume you can book tours to Tulum, Akumal, Xel-Ha as well as the different catamaran and jet type boat trips….. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
I understand it might be cheaper to book in advance before we go but we are the type that likes to wake up and if we want to run we book something if we want to veg at the pool we veg. Also weather might play a part…….
My question is can you book spur of the moment and anyone have prices to share……..

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they required you to at least book the day before? Prices to me seemed high, but I'll check and see if we kept any of the pamplets of the different prices we looked over. We did some research on playa.info and just did our own trips, MUCH cheaper, and we weren't on anyone elses itinerary. We also did the spur of the moment things, so worked out better for us.

There is a booking place in the lobby..I am not sure if you can book spur of the moment but I did book a trip (not avail through playa.info) & the price was reasonable...same as booking in advance..

we have always just rented a car at the front desk and driven ourselves to day trip events-that way weather changes and " had enough'," feelings
or "Iwonder what is down that road?" or "look!a taco stand!" can all be done on our own schedule. $50-75 for a car.(may be able to find cheaper off resort property)
have fun!!!
we have done all of the trips you mentioned this way and found it quite easy.
Plus you dont look like you just got off the tour bus!

Playa info tours are great but if you want to do something spur of the moment there are plenty of tours sold on 5th. We have gotten some near the rpr on 5th and Constituyentes. They are much cheaper than booking thru your hotel.
