Thumbs Up for Playa Maya!

I thought I'd share my recent experiences regarding the Playa Maya Hotel. After much deliberation, we decided to book the Playa Maya for our stay at the end of March. We were looking for something reasonable, that had a pool, was on the beach and close to the action. Playa Maya seemed perfect. I did have a little trouble communicating via e-mail, but the manager, Steve, bent over backwards to get in touch with me, finally calling me at home to make the reservation. I thought what great service A couple of days ago, I received an e-mail from Steve saying that they recently decided to revise their rates, and the rate for economy rooms (the room type we had booked) was actually going to be reduced by US $5/night, and that the discount would apply to the reservation I had already made. Now that is service! I think we definitely made the right choice. :wink:
