Eh! From the Great White North

Hello all. I finally decided to become a member in this fine fraternity. I discovered this site in late '05 as we were planning to get married in the Mayan Riviera in Feb. '06 (and did so at Secrets Capri). It proved to be a wealth of information and very helpful.

Well, we are again returning for our 1 year Anniversary and this time will be located right beside PDC at the RPR. The comments and insight from those of you who have visited (or are now residing in) PDC made planning for the trip a breeze. For example, I was able to enjoy the Super Bowl this past year when Secrets set up a big screen right on the beach and made a party out of the event. I was not expecting RPR to do the same but lo and behold I discover on this site that there is a new sports bar in PDC where I will be able to enjoy a Cowboy's victory (yup, you heard it here first) with other die hard fans. Next problem will be convincing the wife to join me!

Anyways, glad to be here and hope to contribute on occasion and at the very least will soak up all the valuable information I can from the experts.

So, from freezing cold Saskatchewan, see ya around!

Welcome indeed.
And BTW, that next trip in Feb would certainly go much better without such Cowboys' delusions. It pays to be realistic.
Enjoy yur next trip.

Thanks to all on the board, especially my fellow Caunuks, for the welcome! We are counting the days.......until Christmas and then counting the days.....until Mexico! When we were there last time we basically stuck to the resort though we did venture into PDC twice for shopping and a meal. We plan on making daily visits this time to PDC given our close proximity. Also planning to take in Xel-Ha this time around and still trying to figure out the best way to get there. So much info out there as far as the best way to go (ie. through the resort, bus, car, tour, etc.). We are also trying to decide on where to have a couple of meals.....we went to Blue Lobster last time and loved it! There seem to be many good restaurants and we continue to read the reviews and trying to decide. Anyways, thanks again to all for the warm welcome!
