Hello

Hello everyone,
I've only spent a few minutes on the forum so far and it certainly looks very helpful. I'm here because I'm trying to decide on Mexico (already been 3 times this year) or the Caribbean?? AI or no AI (husband likes AI though?). I look forward to reading the posts and joining discussions. Gotta make a decision soon....January fast approaching.

Hello, Icelady,
You will find this forum invaluable and alot of fun. Very addictive though and makes me not want to think of anything other than Playa!!
Welcome to the forum.

There are nice beachs all over Playa. Mamita's Beach is an area where lots of people go to, you can rent beds and such. There is a bar too. You can rent beds and such a the ******, near the center of town. Use the search feature to find things on the forum. The nice thing about Playa is you are in Mexico and on the Caribbean Sea.

We're staying at the Royal Porto Real and then renting a condo for our second trip and the beach right in Playa is nice, but I've heard alot about Paraiso Beach in Tulum. They have cool beach beds and a great beach! Haven't been yet, but that's on our list of things to do this coming trip. Lots of great info if you do a search about it. You can find out all about taking the bus and how much, where....etc.

In February I stayed at the Bahia Principe Akumal and the beach was okay. The resort was fantastic (if you like large resorts). I found it to be quite a distance from Playa Del Carmen though. We visited the Tulum ruins and I have to admit, the beach there was beyond beautiful. I tell you I am so overwhelmed with what to do??? I wish someone would just book it for me and tell me where I'm going. I'll just pack
