Makeup Eyeglasses

Have any of you ever used these? Some have lenses that flip down one at a time so you can put on your eye makeup while the other side magnifies so that you actually SEE what you're doing. Others have one lens that goes from one side to the other. No WAY am I paying $80+ bucks for the pricey ones, but I might consider the cheapies for $8 -15. Any opinions?

I have never seen such a thing!

I am nearsighted, so when I wear my glasses and makeup at the same time, I can see fine to put it on. But most of the time I wear my contacts, so I put my makeup on after I put my contacts in, so unnecessary for me.

I guess they are for farsighted women who wear glasses ...I can see how they would work well for them.

They look like a good idea... but then I don't wear make-up so I don't have to worry if I can see or not...

Susie..... I'll make a point of checking the next time I'm in a Walgreens, CVS, Brooks, Wal-Mart, etc. If I see something inexpensive, I'll grab it for ya and then we can figure out how to get it to ya.

I can't see close up without my glasses. Because i have astigmatism too, these magnifiers don't work for me. I still need to wear my glasses to correct the astigmatism since the magnifier doesn't help with that. I tried to use the 10x mirror and it is hard for me to see because everything is blurry wihtout my glasses.

I just need readers, so I'd think these would work fine. Karen, I appreciate you checking. If you don't have any luck, I can always order them online. I will be up there in a few weeks, ya know.

I know you'll be in the States soon. So if I find 'em, I can mail them to wherever you'll be dropping by while you're Stateside.

Susie,
A friend of mine got a pair of those a few years ago. She said "don't waste your money". The two of us are constantly throwing money away on things that seem like a great idea. I wish I had a dollar for everything I bought that didn't turn out quite like I thought it would.

What was her complaint with them?

looks like a great idea to me.

I'm farsighted in one eye, near sighted in the other due to some damage not corrected as a child. I guess they'd work for when I do my right eye...would love to hear how they turn out if you buy them, Susie.

She felt the drop down lens kept getting in her way. She did say that the kind with the lens that comes out might work better.
