In the spririt of the season, have you guys tried any Seasonal Brews?

I was at place last night called Taco Mac, you guys probably have never heard of it, but it's a great place to eat and they just happen to have about 200+ beers on tap and another 150 bottles available. Well I made it a point to try several Christmas / Holiday brews. My favorite so far is the Sam Adams Winter Fest. I also had the Anchor Steam Christmas, Sweet Water Festive Ale, Rogue Santa's Reserve, and the Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. Oh....I didn't have ALL of those last night just a few. Do you guys have any recommendations?

Oh yes! I have always been partial to Sam Adams winter (but is it just me or has it changed in the past few years?). Another semi-local favorite of mine is Harpoon Winter Warmer- too spicy for my husband, though. I like the Sierra-Nevada Celebration Ale- just had one Monday night And finally, I really enjoy lots of Maine's local brews- can't keep straight what their winter versions are, though. But some good companies are Shipyard, Gritty's, Sea Dog (don't remember their winter, though), and Atlantic Brewing (same thing with the winter brew).

We have a discount beer store down the street that carries all of the out-of-date local and regional microbrews for around $2-3/6-pack, so I'll be enjoying many winter brews come March Wait- I'll be moving- crap Well, right now the Octoberfests are delightful

Cool, I'll look them up. Check out the Sweet Water Ales too. It's a micro brew here in Atlanta. Pretty good stuff.

Will do! I always dig trying local microbrews when I travel...that's really the only downside to Mexico.

I've never tried it but the guys delivering the beer to the pub in my building always give 'Christmas brew' to my parents. Every year my b-i-l is happy to get it for christmas... must be good!

Now that looks good!

Here's a pic of a good local brew- only 6.2% abv- like water compared to yours!

No! I am not into flavored beers Just give me an amber or an Oktoberfest. No spice, berries, or anything else for me.

At 11%.....I don't that Elf is going to be mad about anything. I'll have to look that one up. I really like a good high gravity beer.

Yeah it's not a cheap beer by volume but 1 or 2 do the job. Here's a link to their site.
