I have not seen it as of late, but the beach there is artificially protected by the north pier. Because of this it is normally quite large.
edit: oops you meant Riu Palace Riviera Maya we thought you meant Royal Porto Real. Seach the all inclusive board for info. Last edited by Terry; 12-17-2006 at 11:54 PM. |

We have seen the beach in front of the Playa Maya grow from one row of chairs in front of the palapa to 3 in 48 hours, and on our last stay, vice versa.
