Buying a beach chair in PDC????
My wife and I visit PDC every year in January for 2 weeks. Every so often we like to rent a car and explore the beaches South of Telum toward Punta Allen. Last year we looked all over PDC for one of those cheap collapsible chairs we could throw in the back of the car that we could use to sit on the beach. We couldn't find one anywhere including at Wal Mart. Does anyone have any idea where we could pick one up? Also, should I worry about anything (other than getting sunburned) hanging out at one of those isolated beaches near the Sian Ka'an Biosphere? Thanks.

The only place I've seen beach chairs was San Francisco, and that was a few years ago. Occasionally they get metal chairs with canvas seats/backs - they are pretty heavy but they also last and last. Plus they were 99 pesos!
That's the first place I'd check, but availability is very sporadic. |

We like to get ours from Costco in CUN or sometimes Walmart has them. however, we have been informed this is not the right time of year! Its winter you know down there!! As we need to replace ours, I'm keeping fingers crossed as soon as the xmas stuff has been put away perhaps the beach stuff might make a reappearance sooner than later! The ones in particular we're keeping our eyes peeled for are the low sitting, reclining, removable pillow, pouch on back with shoulder straps to shlep to the beach. Very comfy cadillac version!!
