2 frostbitten Alaskans coming to thaw out!

Hola Amigos! My wife and I are making our first trip to Playa the first week in March (1-7) We have been there to get the ferry to Cozumel but never got to stay. Can't wait to get our toes in the sand and sit in the sun. We hope to make some new friends there too. Only 2 months to go!

We don't have reservations anywhere, we are winging it when we get there

But we are going to a few peep events, you should come to some and meet some of the peeps on this board.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. We are watching it alternate between snow and rain right now. Wishing we were in Mexico with cold cervesas and el sol.

We will be staying at the Posada Sian Ka'an, Does anyone have any good or bad things to say about it? Loree, is it that easy to get a room down there that you never need a reservation? I thought about it but decided to have a safety net. We did plan on going to the peep meeting at the Beer Bucket and maybe the Coba tour. We would like to meet people before the Beer Bucket night, is there anything going on after feb 28 and B/4 the B.B. meet?

First... would you like me to add you to the Peepstock 2007 Kick-Off Peep Meet at the Beer Bucket list??? Just let me know your first names and the # in your group, and I'll be happy to do so!!

Secondly.... since many Peepstockers will be around prior to the first official day of Peepstock on March 5th (David and I arrive on Friday, 3/2) I'm pretty sure a Peep Meet will be established for Saturday or maybe Sunday - or maybe both!!

AND... if you want to... start of thread for one yourself!

All you've got to do is pick a place and a time, start a thread on it (in the Peep Stuff forum), and **voila!** a Peep Meet will happen!!

. Bluepicker and I will be there the same time you are, probably see you at one of the meets. Look forward to meeting you! We have walked by the hotel you are booked in many times. It has a very nice garden area and is close to the beach and 5th. Great location. Bonus, it is downhill from 5th for those nights you have to crawl or roll home!

I don't know Jan, If it's easy to roll or crawl home at night doesn't that mean that it's just that much harder to get coffee in the morning? Seriously, I can't wait to get there. We got 6 more inches of snow since yesterday, before that it rained and blew for two weeks. If I had been thinking I would have planned our trip for January so we could be there by now! But I have faith that the weather here will still be crappy in February and March

Our neighbor just got back from the Pacific side last week, all tan and happy. We are excited to finally get down there, it's a major undertaking just to get to Seattle from here. It's gonna be so good!!!!

Have a great time.

You should get some Nerak beads so people will know your a peep. You won't have to walk around town for very long and somebody will yell out to you to stop and have a drink.
