Hello, great to be here. We went to Cancun for the first time about 5 years ago and have been buying timeshare weeks there and in Playa del Carmen ever since (ouch...$). Cancun and Playa are great places to be and also great stepping-off places to the rest of the peninsula and the barrier reef to boot. A terrific piece of real estate. We've been north to Isla Holbox and south to Sian Kaan. We're looking forward to Belize (I hope they don't sell timeshare$ there). If life goes as planned we hope to spend 6 weeks of winter there in retirement, which is only 11 years off, but who's counting.

We'll be down the first two weeks of Feb, but this year we're staying in Cancun, next year we'll stay in Playa. Top to bottom it's a great peninsula.

Well hello to another fellow Marylander and welcome to the forum.

Too bad you are going the beginning of February cause we will be there February 20 for a week...during Peep Fest

....you are just gonna miss all the peeps in town and all the events by a week or so.
