![]() Nope, she's just doing what I pay her to do! However, she did kinda scream at me the other day. She had me do something that I had done during the previous session a few days earlier, and I was still sore from doing it (it was this bizarre ab/core thing done on the bench, it was killer). When she told me we were doing it again, I was like "WTF, I'm still reeling from the last time!" So I started but kept hesitating on the move, wouldn't completely commit cause I knew it was going to hurt like heck. I would start...nope, ok, here I go...nope, ok now this time...nope... She finally got right in my face and yelled "GO!" You bet yer ass I went, and fast! Bottom line, you just have to get it through your head that there is no saying "no", that you're gonna do "it" (whatever "it" is), even it it takes the whole hour to do. I can whine and moan all I want, it's still getting done! I learned that in the first week! I don't mean to make her sound like a monster, she is SO not. She is VERY good at what she does, and we're friends just as much as we're client/trainer. I take all her classes at the gym. I LOVE her, for what she's helped me accomplish, I've been with her longer than any of her other clients (since last Feb). I don't know what I'd do without her pushing me, or how I'm ever going to stop going to her either! Help! ![]() ![]() If anyone ever wants to come visit me here in Joisey, I'd be happy to share her with ya.

What's up with that - it looked pretty good last week! E mail or call me and let me know what's going on. Better yet, I'll call you tomorrow!

I've made the most wonderful healthy "meals" the past couple days using the standard ingredients that I always have to eat when I'm following my stricter eating plan. I've combined (in the food processor) a small zucchini with a scoop of protein powder, a packet of s/f instant oatmeal and, either 1/4 banana with the chocolate PP, OR a single-serving natural applesauce with the vanilla PP. A tiny pinch of baking powder and another of salt and blend the crap outa all of it. (The sweetness is provided by both the PP and the either cinnamon roll or maple brown sugar flavored s/f oatmeal.) No need to add liquid because the zucchini has so much in it and it results in a nice batter consistency. Spray a muffin pan with Pam and pour the batter in. One portion (which is what the above makes) is 3 muffins. They don't rise like other muffins but they sure are yummy and a nice break from shakes or just eggwhites with a bowl of oatmeal. They were so good I even took a picture!

![]() ![]() ![]() I've been watching this thread and not joining in the chat ~ just getting inspired by everyone's successes. Over the past 4 years, my weight crept up gradually by almost 30 pounds! Too much of the good life, combined with unnecessary alcohol consumption, lack of regular exercise, and an apparent metabolism slow down that comes with aging. Mike and I are reasonably healthy eaters. We've opted for low fat meals for years and rarely eat at fast food restaurants. I don't consume sodas ~ diet or otherwise. All of our meals at home are cooked from scratch using fresh ingrediants. Since we returned from our last cruise, I've cut alcohol to one drink per day, cut out almost all bread, white rice and potatos and added daily exercise to my routine. I speed walk 2 miles each morning before I get ready for work. I've tried jogging, but my 61 year old knees (that have been grossly overworked over the years) just can't take it. I also have weights and a stair stepper at work that I use when I have some free time. I've managed to shed 17 pounds since September 10th. I've got 7 more to go to meet my personal goal. I'm HOPING to reach my goal by January 1st ~ although with lots of parties and holiday festivities coming up, that may be unrealistic.

Anyway, the "PP" was referring to the protein powder that I mentioned in the beginning of that sentence. Just too lazy to type it all in again.

I've been eating like a little pig. I'm going to give myself until the first of the year and then I've got to get back to it. Each time I allow myself to pig out, it's that much harder to get back to where I want to be. I really need to set some goals before the end of the year.

![]() I'm thinking of doing the Discovery/Health Challenge after the holidays. Free online tools and it follows the women's version of Body for Life (Dr. Peele, I think). Very sane diet and focus on exercise/weight training. Whatever the case, I REALLY need to get back on track!
