Wow, I haven't posted in FOR-EVA and I can't believe this thread is still on the first page! I had lost 54 lbs..but gained back about 17. Wahhhhhh! Lots of crap going on in my life but I plan to get back on track after the holidays. There is no damn sense in even trying to avoid all the goodies and food at this point. I'd rather start fresh. Congrats to all you guys who have stuck with a healthy plan.
Hope everyone is doing great and happy, happy holidays to you all! ![]() |

Went to cardiokickboxing last night determined to work everything out. Did the whole work out with 20 pounds of weights. My shoulders hurt, my arse hurts, my hamstrings are screamin', and when I sneeze I want to grab my abs instead of a tissue. To top it off, I wore high heels to work today. What was I thinking?

I went to step class yesterday morning, with the same intent. I felt like a lard a$$ bouncing around, like I had 20lb weights around my neck or something (ok, maybe 20lbs of cookies
). I was supposed to go to another step class tonight but got stuck working and couldn't leave no matter what. Prolly for the best, I had to rolllllllllll out of my chair just to make dinner for the kids. I have my darling workout nazi at 7am tomorrow, THAT should be fun (not!)! ![]() |

I don't even want to talk about it, as I sit here at the computer thinking about unbuttoning my jeans. My boobs are resting on my stomach. WTF??? did I just become my grandma?? I'm not even gonna attempt healthy eating until Jan 2nd. Then I'm back in the swing of things. And step on a scale??? NFW! I know I've gained weight, I don't need a frickin' scale to tell me so. But, on a good note.........I've been smoke free for over a month (Kevin too)

Add me to this accountability thread, one more way to be accountable won't hurt. I started with a personal trainer about 3 weeks ago. I've got the program in place, working on the eating part this weekend, getting menus ready. How serious am I? I drive an extra 45 mins after dropping my kid off at school twice a week for now, I pay about $50 an hour for it. I bloody well better work at it. Had a workout today, told her when I see her on the 8th, I will have the menus on the go. About 7 weeks to go to Playa, hope to reach my first mini goal of about 20-25 pounds by then. Most importantly setting up routines & changing eating patterns but I'd love to hit the first mini goal. Now I just gotta get back to my blog, that's another accountability thing too. Now, just need to behave if I make to Bumper's on Saturday, luckily I can't have margaritas, won't blow that part anyway.

I'm not sure which one of you is posting , there's two of ya in your avatar photo. If you're a guy, that amount of weight loss is more of a reality, and it'll come off a lot faster than if you're a girl. But keep in mind that losing 20-25 pounds in 7 weeks would be considered losing too much weight too fast. It can be done of course, but you stand a greater chance of gaining the weight back when you don't lose it slowly. Two pounds per week is a nice, slow pace, and what's generally recommended. It took me (and of course this is me - the unable to lose weight without chopping off a body part kinda person) over two months to lose 10 pounds! Do what works for you but don't beat yourself up if it doesn't happen. Be extra diligent if it does. You're on the right track by changing your eating habits and starting a workout routine, and it will happen, I promise! Best of luck to you! ![]() |
