thanks for the report.

I think I might just stick to my free weights. My little gym is cluttered enough as it is. I need to step it up a notch this next week- so happy it's finally warm enough to outside for our coffee time walks again.

Lost weight this week, we both did. Not a goal of mine right now, but won't turn it down. Mostly staying low carb and still cutting out the wine 5 or 6 days a week. Tonight may be a wine night.

Okay, that was freaky. Right as I clicked on this thread the commercial with Valerie came on and I turned from it to read your post! She does look great!

This was a big topic of discusion at my office yesterday. Yes, she does look terrific, but we came to the conclusion that there may have been just a little airbrushing involved...........hard to measure up to that!! I really hope she continues on her quest for better health.........

AM vs. PM

Do you work out in the morning or afternoon/evening?

I'm trying to get my butt back in the gym, but find after working a 9 hour day all I want to do is go home, and am really unmotivated to do much after 6PM. My gym opens at 6AM, so I could actually make there for an hour and still have time to shower and get ready.

Which do you prefer? A decade ago when I was a second shift person, I would not even consider getting up by 6AM, but now I am actually up that early anyway....

Definitely morning. If not, it just winds up being something you dread the whole day. When it's over and done with first thing, you feel proud of yourself and you're ready to do it again the next morning!

I have tried to work out in the mornings before work...just cannot do it...I am SO not a morning person.

Early evenings is when I exercise. Usually about a half hour to an hour after supper. Not that I am doing it as regularly as I should be lately...semi regularly.

I take long walks most any time of day - during the summer it is often a morning, and noon and evening thing.

Me, too. I know it's better for your metabolism to work out in the morning, but I can't do it Lately, I've been doing so much good gardening for various projects that I haven't needed to work out Which is good, because I've been battling coughs, colds, and flus since Feb, and didn't work out for almost an entire month. I've had (still have) some catching up to do.....

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I made there after work today; I'm gonna try to mix it up. If it ever gets warm, I can walk outside too.

I'll let you know how it goes when my alarm rings at 5:30 AM.

Last week I decided I had to put on the brakes to my slow, but steady climb to reach chubiness.

I went back to Weight Watchers. It works well for me. My second weigh in is tomorrow. I have had the exercise in place for months, so I'm hoping I can have a body like Valerie Bertinelli by boating season
