Hi y'all!

I've been back to my work out plan for 3 full weeks now. The gym here at our new buildings finally opened up.

So five days a week I count calories and do 20 minutes of interval cardio on an epplitical machine and then about 20-30 minutes of weights...alternating upper and lower.

I've lost 5 pounds so far. I CANNOT believe I let myself gain so much weight back. I still want to lose 13 more pounds.

I'm getting up at 5:50 am and hitting the gym before work.

I thought it was going to kill me....but knew I would get in the hang of it again eventually. I'm finally beginning to feel more energetic.

Which do you prefer? A decade ago when I was a second shift person, I would not even consider getting up by 6AM, but now I am actually up that early anyway....

Evenings. My gym has swimming and Zumba classes at 5:30. I do the swimming mostly. Then 2 times a week after the swimming they have Fusion (total body workout) so I stay for that. Sundays I do Super Sunday which is total body workout and then stay for Zumba. On the days that there is no class after my swimming I stay and do nautalius and some weights and crunches. I pretty much do something everyday. And I am seeing results!

How's everyone doing?

I've lost about 6 pounds in 3 weeks. It's a little slower than I expected, but I'm still very happy. I will probably push my goal date to the end of June.

My daughter is 26 years younger than me, and the weight is coming off a little easier.

Over the last month, most of our exercise has been outdoor walking, with some resistance work and treadmill at the gym on bad weather days.

In two weeks I'm going to a western-themed outdoor wedding, so I think I'll go upstairs now and see what clothing I can put together to wear to the ceremony.

I'm a member of the Latitudes gym in Salisbury, Ma, it was formally a Gold's gym but the owner decided to go his own way. This gym has just about everything you could want in a fitness gym. Right now there are several people who are training for triathlons etc.

I myself have used quite a few of their health stations, but I enjoy the pool and heavy bag the most. I get a real kick out of how some of the younger swimmers try to keep up with a 50 year old guy.

By the way I do fake bake a lot. I was asked if I glow at night I said only when I smile.

Having a 6 oz grilled burger and a serving of broc with cheese sauce for lunch

About 5 grams of carbs net of fiber.

Tastes good too

This last week has been kinda slow for me as far as work goes. So in the mornings before I head to the cigar shop I do at least a couple hours workout, mostly swimming and the stair master.

Today I did the stair master for about a hour and half then I was taking a hour yoga class. I lasted a half hour in the yoga class.

I don't understand it. I can out swim just about anyone I know, but one little yoga class and I get my ass kicked.

Plus the instructor was a women, not bad looking but still she's a woman. Oh how degrading.

The more you go- the more limber you'll become Yoga's not supposed to be one of those things you instantly pick up- you need to train your body first.

Sounds like a good workout, Stogey- I'm jealous of your extra time for workouts (though sorry work is slow). Keep up the yoga- I think you'll be happy with the results!

Good for you taking the yoga class. It can be a very challenging class at the start. Keep going, before you know it, the flexibility just creeps up on you, plus yoga becomes addictive. It makes you taller, more flexible, helps make a stronger core and the one big benefit, it relaxes you, body and soul.

I do like a physical challange, plus many special forces people take yoga to vary their workout routines, and I do like my fella students.

Going again tomorrow night and I can't wait! Unfortunately there's only one night class right now. In the summer I'll be able to go to the morning class while I'm on vacation. I have the DVDs but it's not as fun as with a live instructor.

I love Zumba (you can get them cheap on E Bay)...but it is more fun with a instructor/group.
