HOTEL Da Gabi

Hey Y'all

Wondering if anyone can/ did stop by Hotel Da Gabi on 1st Avenue and Calle 12. Seems to look nice. Wondering if it was renovated and called something prior.

Their rates for PeepStock week are $90/ night. Looks nice on their website (but I am sure we all have been stung by that at least once in our lives ).

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Mucho !!
Deb

It sure looks like a nice place from the outside. We stayed around the corner at the Eclipse last Feb.

I will say that the only downside of staying at that part of town for me is the loud music from the clubs which is loud and lasts into the wee hours. We ran the AC at night and that took care of the noise.

As long as I can remember, it's always been called Hotel Da Gabi. About 2 years ago, they renovated the rooms and hung a new hotel sign. The rooms are kind of small but cozy looking... I've never stayed there. The location of the hotel on Calle 12 is closer to 5th Avenue and very handy if you want to be in the middle of the action. I think the room rate of $90 is a bit steep since you can get equivalent or better for $60-$70 right in that neighborhood.
