We're from Netherlands and wonder what moeny we should bring ?. Lot's of things are priced in US$, does this mean we can (best) pay with US$ or will there be no difference when we use pesos ?.
And for tipping I read people like the US$ ?. Pls advice, I would like to bring dollars but don't want to exchange them twice (guilders->US$-> pesos).. |

If you can get pesos in Holland, bring them. There are some people that prefer US greenbacks, but I would say they are in the minority. Dollars are used in price quotes to give people a reference point. The peso has been rock solid lately, and in the last few days has even gotten stronger vs. the dollar.
Here is a good reference. Here at PlayaInfo, we accept tips in all large denominations. Speaking of money, the peso just got some more funky ink and hologram type stuff- neato. [ This Message was edited by: James on 2001-11-08 09:21 ]
