Hi from cold, but SUNNY Wisconsin!
Just trying to get some info on Playa del Carmen. Have been to Cancun numerous times, but this year I am headed to the Royal Haciendas in PDC. Getting very excited, but could use any advice or info on PDC. Thanks!

Welcome Trisha. Nice to see another Wisconsinite on board. I'm sure you'll love PdC. There is a lot of great info on this site so I would start out by just browsing around and if you need to ask any questions, ask away.

Hi, fellow Wisconsonite!
I'm joining the board for the first time tonight, too! I'm from just outside Madison, and will update my profile shortly. I've not stayed in Playa del Carmen, but have booked my family for an 8-night stay at the Viva Wyndham Maya due to no openings at the Akumal Beach Resort. Don't you love this weather????

Yes, I do love this weather. You are talking about WI and not PDC! Although, I love the weather in PDC more. What the heck, it was kindof cold this a.m. We need more El Nino!!! I am jealous - I don't have any plans to go to PDC until next Thanksgiving - hopefully if my son the mailman can get the time off - a lot of mailmen are hunters!

Welcome to Playa Info, you will find a world of helpful information on this site. This will be the first time in 5 years that I haven't been able to get to PDC in March, It's so depressing, so I'm really liking this very un Wisconsin like winter weather we've been having.
As mentioned above, make sure you get into Playa a couple nights to get the real flavor of this wonderful little city (or not so little any more). |

Hi Trisha and Welcome!! The shining sun is great today...althought a tad bit windy and nippy out!
I know we have been spoiled though with our unseasonably warm weather.Looking for advice? Try and book a tour through Playa.info. I hear all of them are great. Try the Sea to Cenote tour! Also, get a Playa Deal Card from this site. You will rack up savings in no time. Just remember to use it. And as always...don't forget to place your vote here . Wisconsin is in 3rd place with California sneaking up behind us. ![]() |

Cool, more Wisconsinites! We're from Milwaukee and finally have what you'd call "winter"
We'll be down for trip 4 (or is it 5) in March for Peepstock and can hardly wait. There are all kinds of fun events planned for us Playainfo peeps. Take your time going thru all the threads here, there is tons of great info. I spent several months here on the forums before my first trip and actually felt immediately at home the minute I got off the bus. WELCOME TO PARADISE ![]() |
