Playa Zipolite is bottomless as well as topless... so no need to waste money on a banana hammock. If you've got it, you get to flaunt it!!

All of the other beaches along that 8 mile stretch on Hwy-175 have signs announcing "no nudismo and no drogas". Guess rock & roll is still permitted!

There is also rougly 30 miles of private secluded beach between Playa Ventinilla and Puerto Escondido with very limited access. So if someone wanted to escape all restrictions, that would be the ultimate place to go. If you tried to do that in Puerto Escondido, they'd be all over you. The police there use 4-wheelers to patrol the beach but they generally don't go beyond the basic city limits.

In a few days, I'll be doing a limited trip report that'll include some insight (with photos) of my favorite part of the Oaxacan Coast...
