I would choose Lindo hands down. We were at the Barcelo last year in early June. I am not sure what the problems were, as most seem to love the Barcelo. We didn't. The wait at the pool for a drink was well over 30 minutes. There is no pool side service. The buffets had one side closed, (I think for low occupancy in the resort) on the Tropical/Colonial side. Therefore the wait at the buffets was pretty long. When we vacation, we seem to like the idea of being pretty laid back, not line waiting. If it had only been one or two days like that, it probably wouldn't have mattered that much, it was just the whole week.
Our stay at the Lindo was wondeful. Food was great, service at the pools and buffets were no line waiting. Both resorts are beautiful, beach is better at Barcelo. Food is pretty much the same. Rooms pretty much the same. I could care less about maid service. As long as the bed is made somtime during the day, I could care less. Service was just not there at the Barcelo. Can't say why, it just wasn't. |

You are right. I didn't want to mention where the sweat was running down.
We found that no matter how beautiful the resort is, how great the service is, how delicious the food is, how much sand and how clean the water is, no matter how terrific everything is, You can't be sweating to death. Sorry, we need air conditioning |
