I am telling you all....6peso ice cream at BK....Good fries too....
For s&g we checked out a Johnny Rockets menu when the kids wanted burgers...It would have been $15 just for Nick to get a burger, fries & a drink...Burger King it was!

The next time we go to Quintana Roo, we are going with the girl in my avatar and her little brother. I was thinking about a condo in Playa or Playa. But Playa it will be for us. You can buy a lot of quiet with 6 peso ice cream & BK french fries. |

It is also very clean & the people working were very friendly & looked like they were having a good time.....ie laughing & joking...And yes when you have small children along they will only humor your taste for Mexican food for so long until they want a darn hamburger!

You know I am girl, she said she'd leave the Starbuck's alone & try the local coffees, my guess is, we'll be there at LEAST once. I'm probably in for BK ice cream too, sorry, my budget can't handle $8 Haagen Daaz (& it's not always that great)

I was in Playa last week and found it hard to find a GREAT cup of coffee. Tried them all Java Joes, Hot Baking Co., Ah Cacoa (however you spell it) and still no great coffee. I did then try Starbuck's and have to admit best one I had in 8 days! I told myself I would not stop in there but I caved in. I was walking down fifth last week and I am 99.9% sure I spotted a pretty famous chef drinking a cup of Starbucks at 8 in the morning! It was pretty cool!

I am not embarassed to say that I will be visiting Starbucks while in Playa.
I always grind some beans to take to Playa with me. I absolutely need my fix as soon as I get out of bed! I too, am not too crazy about the coffee in Mexico, hubby really likes it though. Having said this, Cafe Corazon's is pretty good (and potent!) and my next choice is Java Joe's. I like a strong cuppa.
