We will be going to the Quetzal/Tucan in May with 3 other couples. After many, many cruises, we have finally started going to at least 1 AI a year. This will be our first trip to PDC. In the past two years we've stayed at IB Punta Cana, RIU Negril, and RIU Jalisco (Puerto Vallarta). We love Cozumel and therefor think we will love PDC as well. Hope we are not dissappointed. All indications point to......GREAT FUN!!!

My husband & I stayed on the Quetzal side last year for two weeks and actually prefferred everything on that side. I guess it is a matter of one's perspective. As mentioned before they share two of everything so you can go to what ever side to eat etc. We also really liked the bar & waitresses on the Quetzal side. What a fabulous hotel and if you hang a left on the beach and go for a walk you will see they have one of the nicest beaches. The others going north lost a lot of beach due to the hurricane two years ago. There is also a great little plaza 10 minute walk that has a farmacia as well as other shops. Good prices & has everything you would get in town.
Enjoy...I love the Inberostars!!!

Keka55....irons.....
yes they do have irons if there isn't one in your room just ring down and they will send one up for you...also an ironing board! nothing is too much trouble for them I will deffinately be leaving more tips this year than last as well.....here in uk we usually tip at the end of our trip..or in restaurant if the service and food were good...we don't usually tip every single time......but I did notice that the maids changed round so I will leave a tip every day bless 'em they work very hard to make your holiday perfect !

The wife and I stayed at Tucan last year and loved it. We vowed to bring our kids next time, which is what we are doing. Leaving March 5 for Quetzal. This year, we found that Apple Vacations was about $400 more expensive booking Tucan than Funjet was booking Quetzal. Same trip, same charter flight. Different side of the resort.

pkfirefighter Tucan/Quetzal.........
It costs us (from UK) approx £3.000 but that does include first class service on flight then there is spends tips etc.......but we think it is worth every penny ! of course it all depends which travel company you choose the cheaper ones go really fast.....we did shop around.......it doesn't matter as long as you get to your hotel which is the tops with us !!
if any of you out there haven't tried it go on what the heck anyway you will be in playa yay !
