We have dinner reservations for the 18th and then on the 19t or 20th we will be at the buffet and then meeting up with another couple we met on another forum...I don't know how to post a private message, but if you guys want to meet up for a couple of drinks please join us. One of those nights I mentioned we would like to head to Playa del Carmen for dinner and drinks out....we were thinking of Yaxche or along those lines...again...if you would like to join us....please do come along. 5 days and counting...can't wait.

for those of you going soon to the IBQ/T, do me a favor. Go to the main bar where the entertaining is and ask for "SANTOS" (best bartendar around). He made us some shots back around Christmas called "green frogs" and for the life of us we cannot remember what the ingredients were. I need you guys to get that recipe for us.
They are green in color and the last ingredient he puts in is some red cherry flavor..of they are delicious.

we want to stay in Quetzal from end of july for 19 days there ! can tell me some of the peoples who know this area is there a internet connection in the hotel maybe wireless internet in the room ?
and is it a good idea to rent a car there ? to visit some interest places ? when yes is it possible to park there a car for free at the hotel ? ,,
another question is are there mall s like in the USA near there for shopping clothes etc... like GAP , Nike , hilfinger etc... or must i drive to CANCUN and how far ist Cancun ?
another question is ! is it possible to snorkling from the beach in a reef or is it necessary to leave the place for snorkling ?

Hi family Braun, first of all I am sure you will enjoy the Quetzal hotel...we stayed at the sister hotel Tucan last year...it was our first trip to Mexico ..so we are no experts on the area...but first of all the hotel rooms do have a wireless keyboards....and also an internet cafe in the hotel foya... not sure about cars etc...but there is great shopping on 5th avenue..lots of designer outlets too...and only 10 mins in a cab for about 50 pesos very reasonable! there are lots of restaurants and bars everything you could want......Cancun is about an hour from hotel.......as for snorkelling you are better off going on a trip ..there is a big choice where to go...the beaches are not very good for that really..just for swimming and water sports. hope I have been of some help..maybe someone else will give you more info...enjoy your holiday

Wife and I are going to the Quetzal for our yearly vacation. Will be there all next week. Can't wait. Anyone else going during that time frame? We had 8 inches of snow Friday - Saturday this weekend. I am ready for some warm weather...
