Iberostar Quetzal/Tucan
Hi, heading to the IB Quetzal/Tucan for the first time and was wondering if they are two seperate hotels or two parts of the same hotel. Our tickets give the name of both. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Two together
We are headed there Jan 30th. They share the same complex, bars, buffets, beach, pool, etc. I have read that some have booked one side and ended up staying at the other. Do a search on this forum for either Tucan or Quetzal and you will see many detailed trip reports and attached photos. Can't wait to get there. Hope you have a nice time as well.

Facing the ocean, Quetzal's on the left, Tucan's on the right. They have their own lobbies and buffet restaurants but share the same beach, pools, entertainment playa, disco, and ala carte restaurants. You can drink at any bar on either side and in either buffet restaurant (they serve the same food).
We stayed at the Quetzal 3 times (although we booked Tucan twice and were put in the Quetzal. It doesn't matter which side you end up on. It's a beautiful resort with awesome staff and GREAT (for an AI) food!!! Have fun!!!! |

the Wife and I were at the tucan 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. alot of trees and ineresting paths thru monkey territory and great pool and seperate pool for swim up bar away from the kiddies. one word of warning, the dark wood beams on the walkway near the resteraunts are slippery as all get out, they get REALLY slippery when the guy with the wax is buffing them.. Dont ask, Trust me, I know.
