Sandos Caracol Beach and spa?

My sister just purchased a last min. vacation to this spot. Has anyone been there lately that could give us some deatails?

She's not online so I told her I would find out about it for her. There doesn't seem to be much for reviews. Any info would be greatly appreciated. She is going with a friend two women in there early 40's. Thanks in advance.

yes I read that. I had read on another site that people were having things taken out of their room. She is taking her T.A's. advise to go here without any research. She is in bad need of this vacation as she hasn't had the best couple of past years. We are just hoping it is good and safe. Does anyone know how the shuttle works in and out of town? Once a day or more?

Hi,I'm going to sandos on Feb 2,6 of us will be there.I have read lots about it and got info from a guy at work that just got back,Unfortuneatly he confirmed that things went missing,it seems the maids can get into the safe.I suggest locking valuables in a suitcase,it would be hard to carry that out of the room.Anyways the shuttle goes to playa at 10,12,2,and 4 and returns from playa at 11,1,3,and5 apparently the 10 am shuttle is always over crowded and everyone cant get on,but if she waits until the 12 pm one its not as bad.apparently not everyone respects the fact that someone was waiting before them and butt in when the shuttle arrives. The food and drinks are suppose to be really good,but the room cleaning isnt always done,they are understaffed at this resort at the check in and cleaning.I hope this helps if you need more info let me know.

Thanks for your reply. I told her yesterday to go out and get some TSA locks for her luggage. Unfortunately it is the rude guests that cause the shuttle problem and not the resort it self. That can happen anywhere. Some people seem to leave there manners at home.

She is going on the 26th of this month so wil be there the week before you.

ktowngirl...I am going Feb 17 based on the advice of someone I know and trust who just went...no unusual happenings during her two week stay and in fact had nothing but good things to say...she said that there had been issues in the past, when it was under different ownership / management when it was smaller...but since that change and the rennovations that nearly doubled it in size it is reported to be very nice...sonofdob.

just wondered if anyone had an actual e-mail address or fax number,to make room requests ahead of arrival.I have been searching and trying many different ones with no luck
