Possibly, depending on who the President is. Currently this is not happening quite obviously. The poplulace will vote, and if its a Dem winner, you have answered your own question, if not you have still answered your question !

I doubt Mrs Clinton would like to be considered as Mrs Thatcher...

Is that because Mrs. thatcher had ethics and Mrs. Clinton does not?

I think a mention as a powerful, female leader of democratic country, along with Maggie, Golda and Indira would delight Hillary.

You are absolutely correct that she would not (as many Britons and other humans would not) like to be considered as having the same politics as Maggie Thatcher.

Of course, there is that old proposal to have British Columbia, Washington state and Oregon form the country of Cascadia, but it only gets revived when certain people have consumed too much BC Bud, whatever that is. I thought Bud came from the brewery in St. Louis
We do not propose to annex the entire states of Washington or Oregon into Csascadia.
The I-5 corridore will be excluded from our Utopia & be renamed "Californias Drainfeild" since that is where all the sewage has settled it was flushed from California.

When you put it like that I imagine it would be a compliment to Mrs Clinton.

Hillary is coniving, backstabbing, and unethical. I don't trust her or respect her. She's scary!

Is there a candidate out there worth voting for?
I haven't seen him/her.
This late (used to be early), I doubt one will show up.

At least the US Senate is staying in session during the holidays

As a loyal Democrat, I'm hoping that both Bloomberg AND Ron Paul will run as 3rd party candidates.

It might start to make up for the damage that was done to our nation thanks to Nader's third party run in 2000. W/o nader, in addition to getting the majority of the popular vote, we would have gotten the electoral votes as well.

Jesus, I wonder where our nation would be today had that happened...

We sure as hell wouldn't be wasting precious lives and trillions of dollars in Iraq.

Sooo....

Is there a petition or something somewhere for Bloomberg and Paul?

I was glad Bush was in office when 9/11 occurred.
I was worried Gore would have sent in a couple cruise missles and left it at that, or pulled some kind of Jimmy Carter overly complicated one hit attack.

I'm sad Bush is in office, mostly because of Iraq, other things as well.
