Yeah, we really need someone who is so in touch with their feelings that they start to cry like an infant at the first sign of criticism. Guy probably wouldn't have left his bedroom for weeks after 9/11.

If you want to Oprahsize the USA, why not just get her to run. Don't settle for imitations.

Can a Clinton clean up after a Bush and bring us prosperity?

This question was raised on the program Forbes on Fox.

The answer was, sure, it has happened before.

Sheesh.
New Hampshire primary....
Didn't think many our age would still remember that.
Of course it was aimed at his wife and not him, wasn't it..?

Then later, Sen. Eagleton had to bow out (wasn't really given a choice) because of twice receiving electro-shock treatments...

Wonder how all that would play out today....

That's the example my husband cited when he was opining that the change in the primary-vote schedule would NOT serve the country well. Sort of a nightmare scenario of anointing the candidate with several early "Super Tuesdays", then finding out the candidate is majorly flawed.

I opined back that the media would be more than happy to assume further investigative powers to prevent such a scenario from happening.

Neither of us left happy.

They have taken a lot of the fun out of politics. I used to love watching the conventions, because there was always a surprise. Now, the things are so scripted and the candidate already annointed, its boring. They should go the American Idol route.

I'm talking sound, vigorous social policy, not theater nor any such mass entertaining proxies.

Hilary softening the image??

In Iowa yesterday she said "When you are attacked you have to deck your opponent."

I get some enjoyment out of that.

If cleaning up after means causing 9-11 then you'd be correct.
