My wife at I were at Nick's, a quintessential college bar in Bloomington, IN, home of Indiana University, when Obama made a surprise visit. Actually, a few of us had about a two hour heads up and the word spread quickly. As you can see from the video, the students jammed the street when they found he was in town. It was a lot of fun on a Friday afternoon. Of course, he narrowly lost Indiana, but you can't blame us because he carried Bloomington 2-1 over Hillary.

Come on, Steve, we all know that math isn't the Clinton campaign's strong suit. Actually, as I've pointed out to a couple of friends of mine, the delegate count, popular vote, and percentage estimates from here on out are not even complicated enough to be called "math." It's really only simple arithmetic. My guess is she's staying in to go out on a high note, get Obama to help pay off the debt, and take credit for getting FL and MI represented in some way.

Can anyone help me understand why an American citizen should be comfortable with the notion of Obama helping to pay off Hillary's primary campaign debt?

But it's such a Clintonesque move.

Remember when they left the WHite House (taking, I believe, some of the furniture with them)? They were broke and destitute. Somebody else paid for the New York house and they were begging everybody to contribute to their legal defense fund.

Now they're worth a hundred million (wonder how many of the defense fund contributors even get a Christmas card). They stupidly mismanaged their campaign funds, lent the campaign $12 million or so and they have the unmitigated gall to ask Obama to cover it.

WITH MY MONEY. Which is what really pisses me off. Obama's campaign will pay off the Clinton debt with the money they collected from donors like me.

But you watch. They'll pull it off and still insist that they've been ill used. They've done it before and they'll do it again.

I can't believe anyone would want another four, much less eight, years of that crap from these people. Americans have short memories.

Most of the media fell hook, line and sinker for the "Iron my shirt!" stunt at a Hillary campaign event in January in New Hampshire, where two scruffy male hecklers were clearly in collusion with her staff. (The signs -- including one suspiciously permitted on the stage itself -- were carefully positioned and lit, and Hillary had a pat prepared line to draw camera attention to them.) Those dorky guys, at least one with a link to a radio station, are far too young to have the slightest knowledge of an era when women ironed men's shirts -- or when shirts needed ironing at all! Businessmen's shirts go to the cleaners nowadays, and everyone else's gear is just tossed into the dryer. That hoax was designed to reawaken the atavistic resentments of older women voters -- and it worked.

Johnson foretold the loss of the south to the Republicans when he signed the Voting Rights Act.

That significantly preceded Roe v. Wade.

We know which party the southern racists joined after they were courted by Nixon and others.
