Sarasohn, the columnist, is a pretty reputable guy around here. He is the local liberal columnist. Having knocked around politics for decades, I would be surprised if that type of thing were not true.
Here is the whole column - DEMOCRATIC WOMEN- OregonLive.com |

That would make me sad as well...has anyone actually produced a copy of this email that the Obama campaign reportedly sent out fanning the flames of the Olberman vitriole?
I cannot find a copy of the email anywhere on the net yet. It should be easy to produce if it was so randomly passed around to so many people on the press list... I would like to see what that email says... From here Obama Campaign Flogs Olbermann's Hillary-RFK Rant to Media On ABC's This Week with George Stephanopoulos, the host asked Obama campaign chairperson David Axelrod whether the Obama campaign was stirring up the attacks on Hillary Clinton over her RFK remarks to the Sioux Falls Argus Leader. When Alexrod denied that the Obama campaign was engaged in such activity, Stephanopoulos reported that the Obama campaign had sent out an email on Saturday with Keith Olbermann's vitriolic Hillary-RFK Special Comment. The Caucus - Politics - New York Times Blog has a transcript of the exchange: Mr. Stephanopoulos: You say you're not trying to stir the issue up. But a member of your press staff yesterday was sending around to an entire press list -- I have the e-mail here -- Keith Olbermann's searing commentary against Hillary Clinton. So that is stirring this up, isn't it?" Mr. Axelrod: "Well, Mr. Olbermann did his commentary and he had his opinion. But as far as we're concerned." Mr. Stephanopoulos: "But your campaign was sending it around." Mr. Axelrod: "As far as we're concerned, George, as far as we're concerned, this issue is done. It was an unfortunate statement, as we said, as she's acknowledged. She has apologized. The apology, you know, is accepted. Let's move forward." Mr. Axelrod: "There's so many important things going on in this country right now, George, that people are interested in that we're not going to spend days dwelling on this." We will post the video of the exchange later. In the meantime we are working on getting a copy of the email. If any of our readers were recipients of the Obama-Olbermann email please forward me a copy at "robert_a_cox" over at my yahoo account so we can publish it here. From the end of the column
Some of Clinton's supporters have already drawn their own conclusions. "I think there has been a lot of sexism in the campaign, a lot more than I thought there would be," Rep. Darlene Hooley, D-Ore., said Friday. Citing constant and derisive coverage of Clinton's appearance, Hooley declared, "I think how she was treated was abominable." Lately, one major question in Democratic campaign coverage has been: When is Hillary Clinton going to stop being so silly and drop out, as she's been told to do since January? But it seems there's one more question: How is Obama going to reclaim a large number of her supporters who feel abused by the entire experience? Hooley says she thinks reconciliation is likely to happen, eventually. Obama will have the invaluable help of George Bush -- who in five minutes can remind any Democrat of why she's a Democrat, and has a full five months to do it. But the idea that women's issues -- and media issues -- go away when Clinton drops out is likely to be wrong. It seems that all sides could bet their pantsuit on that. |

Hillary had done a lot better had she not been married to Bill.
On the other hand if she weren't married to Bill she wouldn't be where she is. On the other hand if it weren't for her, Bill never would have been president. |

I see you amazing people have already added a couple of pages but just an interesting point: reports are now that Donna Brazile (so IS she available for a White House role or what?!?) says that there were enough votes on the committee to pass a resolution to split the MI votes right down the middle, had the Obama camp pushed for that. FWIW.

The political savvy camp (Hillary). Against the political unsavvy camp (Obama). Is there another not quite ready for prime time president (Carter) going to be elected? |
