New sports bar on 5th called End Zone is supposed to be real good.

Depends on what you are looking for... do an advanced search on "bars" and "nightlife". LOTS of info

There are several good bars with televisions that shows sports. A lot more than there used to be. A place by the name of "The End Zone" has several plasma tv's so that you can see no matter what table you are sitting.

Regarding party bars, just pick one. Stop where there urge hits you and buy a drink. If in doubt move along to the next one.

damn, x-otic bar is closed (yep I know long time ago ... ), was such a great funny place.
I recommend the OM-Bar, very relaxing and great drinks ...

Depends what you like....for a late afternoon drink where you can meet loads of interesting people [and peeps]...I recommend Beer Bucket ....and La Ranita

Take it from a semi-pro... before the game, get her over to Deseo, buy her sexy overpriced drinks (lots of them), get her really relaxed and make it HER afternoon! Let her hear all the sweet things you know she wants to hear... some surprise jewelry or a dress from Mango will be guaranteed to put you over the top. Some subtle hints that you'd like to watch the last quater and you might even get an easy okay for halftme on. Kind of like sympathy sex... but at least you'll both be half happy!
