Excitement! Well, kind of...
So now along the calle they have installed some decent looking planter boxes.?
I wonder how finished they plan to make it. Looks like striped (?) temporary railing around each rectangle. Takes up about 1/3 of the width of the street too. I wonder how far up the calle it goes also?
I recognize this post is completely dorky but this cam is a personal fav for people watching on a cold winters day.
Can we get an in-person update? Don't make me go Black Ops and come down there and check myself... Cause I will...

hey mule,

you need to clean your glasses or enlarge your cam picture or something...
I can see how you are seeing what you are seeing but I saw the view this afternoon when they dug up the street.

you are looking about a 2 x 2' ditch. surrounded by caution tape and some plants and lights outside of Carboncitos.

Actually, the town waited until mid-December to tear up 4th St to install lights every 20 meters. What you see are troughs cut in the street. We put our plants and candles outside to make things look at least a little nicer than it did.
Hopefully they'll be done in a day or two

Russell thanks for the quick update.
Your "camouflage" job worked perfectly on me.
But I'm still coming down anyway to check it all out, just to be sure!

Hi,

I went and visited your Hotel Cielo website and I noticed you are looking for pictures of Playa for the gallery.
I will now attempt to shamelessly pimp out a section of my (our) newly-hatched website: North American Landscapes

It might not suit your needs exactly but perhaps it can help...

It's back and they are making quick progress on the street! See you in June for our week at Hotel Cielo, can't wait, and the forcast for Ice in NW Missouri is not helping matters!
